Note for extreme addicts: The Udeuschle maxdist is given at 4363 m on the Schaligrat of the Weisshorn, which emerges a little above the saddle between Piz Corvatsch and Piz Murtel, see the panorama linked on top of the former. Curiously enough, the Weisshorn summit is given at 222 km and the maxdist at 222.1 ... but this is in accordance with the fact that the Schaligrat is a SW ridge, and thus not orthogonal to the view. In other words, climbing from the Schalijoch to the Weisshorn one actually gets closer to the Ortler! I am wondering whether climbers of the ridge have ever thought about this...
