The Vette Feltrine, as the name reveals, dominate Feltre and its surroundings. A nice unpaved road winds up on the mighty and exposed southern flank, leading to Rifugio Dal Piaz, located in a remarkably scenic position few metres below Passo Vette Grandi.
This panorama was thought as an "answer", from above, to the (somehow peculiar!) night shot goo.gl/DE1eiv
Aune is the highest among the villages of Sovramonte, scattered on the west flank of Monte Avena, which is separated from the Vette Feltrine by Passo Croce d'Aune, where the unpaved road begins.
The church of Aune, however, is only partially visible, and the same holds the refuge higher up.

Ciao, Alvise
And, once up, your possibly tired legs will also find two nice rewards:
- the road into the Busa delle Vette, goo.gl/cgwjh3
- the completely flat road into the westernmost Buse, namely, Cavaren and Monsampiano, right below the Pavione: goo.gl/N75FCF
Alvise: interessante teoria. che spiegherebbe pure come mai il nome Vette Grandi sia attribuito a delle cime minori, che non stanno nemmeno sullo spartiacque.
Saluti,
Alberto.
