To see this view I've to make a 10 minutes bike ride from home...
it's alway more difficult to find a spot with a free view.
And for what concernes Cycling World Championship we will also have Mendrisio 2009, even nearer than Varese. I will say hallo to champions also from beautiful Tessin!

Ein Meisterwerk. Hervorragend fotografiert und gestitcht. Von Vignettierung ist aber trotz Deiner 2 Teleconverter nichts zu sehen. Nur die Eisriesen könnten etwas kontrastreicher sein.

@Heinz: thanks, you are too kind. I didn't chose the perfect time to shoot Walliser giants, since I had to wait about two hours to have some shadow cast to get more contrast. Anyway I was very lucky with weather conditions, since a strong North wind cleaned the air.
To fight vignetting I used some lens correction filter in post production software.
@Seb: Monte Rosa is at about 90km, Mischabel 100km. If I have time I will add some distance. From this point of view it seems a good place to live, but our plains are overcrowded and full of concrete buildings...I wish I lived in Switzerland or in Bayernland :-D
