Area: Fleimstaler Alpen      Date: 07-10-2016
Pizzo Alto is the most known ski-touring destination in the high Valle dei Mocheni / Bersntol.
However, it is worth a visit also in autumn conditions. A strange feature of the present panorama is to hide the main feature for which the site is known, namely the remote Lago di Erdemolo / Hardombl. Imagine it below the grassy ridge in the foreground, and below the Monte del Lago taking its name from it.
The reason for the disappearance of the lake is that I chose the standpoint in order to maximize the view on the Valsugana.

Comments

This looks wonderfully remote and lonely. For personal reasons, I currently prefer such views to the Dolomiti. Cheers, Martin
